WHO WE ARE

Baptist Church Located in Pomona, CA

White Avenue Community Church is a Baptist church located in Pomona, CA. We are a small fellowship of Christian believers. Our desire is to shine the light of God’s truth to our surrounding community in Pomona. We pray that God uses us to spread the gospel as it is found in His Word, that His Son Jesus Christ died for us on the cross and offers to us the free gift of salvation, and all a person needs to do is accept Jesus Christ as his or her Lord and Savior. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.” - Ephesians 2:8-9

CHURCH LIFE

What We Do, What We Believe, and Our Pastor

God Loves You

God made you and He loves you. God is perfect love, and His love for you is unconditional. God wants you to know Him and have a personal relationship with Him. Genesis 1:27, John 3:16

You Are Separated From God

All of us have sinned, and that sin has separated us from God. Because of your sin, your relationship with God has been damaged, and He cannot bring you into heaven to live with Him in eternity with your sin. Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Isaiah 59:2

Jesus Died for You

Because of God’s boundless love for you, He came to earth as a human being; that is, as the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Jesus took your place on the cross and died, paying the price for sin that was meant for you. He paid the penalty of death that we all deserve as the just punishment for our sin. Jesus then rose again from the dead, defeating death itself, and ascended to heaven and now sits at the right hand of God the Father. Jesus now lives as the living sacrifice for our sin and the mediator between God the Father and us. 1 Peter 3:18, 1 Corinthians 15:3-8, Romans 5:8

Will You Choose to Follow Jesus?

Now that our debt for sin has been paid by Jesus Christ on the cross, we now have to make the decision whether we will accept the free gift of salvation that he offers. He will not force you to choose him. Either you can choose to remain in your sin, separated from God and spend eternity in hell; or you can choose to trust Jesus Christ as your savior, believe that He is the Son of God and that He died for you on the cross and lives today as your Lord. Romans 10:9, Acts 2:21

If you want to accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and savior, pray the following prayer with a sincere heart to Him:
“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe that You died for my sins. Right now, I turn from my sins and I submit all control over my life to You as my Lord. I confess You as my personal Lord and Savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen.”
